WILLIAM LIONEL WYLLIE (1851-1931); dry point etching, "Ryde, Isle of Wight", a harbour scene, signed in pencil to lower left, information on two labels verso, 11 x 35cm, framed and glazed, and WYLLIE, W.L.; Marine Painting in Watercolour, published by Cassell & Co Ltd, London, New York, Toronto & Melbourne, 1919, with 24 coloured illustrations, cloth bound, split to front leaf, 58 pages (2).
E. EDWARDS; a limited edition black and white etching "Towards Pen-y-Ghent", signed, titled, numbered 3/25, 40.5 x 49cm, a further coloured etching by the same artist "From the Abbey Steps, Whitby", numbered 8/10, 21.5 x 29.5cm, and after H. RIBBANS; an artist's proof print "The Ark", 35 x 47cm, all framed and glazed (3).
After REMBRANDT; a black and white etching "The Burgomaster Six", inscribed on label verso "Facsimile reproduction (both of size and state) of the 2nd state of Rembrandt's etching 'The Burgomaster Six', bought by Messrs. Colnaghi in the sixth sale, Amsterdam, October 1928 for £8,200 (a record)", 25 x 19.5cm, framed and glazed.
After Jacques Callot, French 1592-1635- "The Temptation of St Anthony", printed by Anthony Meitinghi, Italy, 1627; etching on laid, 74.9x93.3cm (plate) (unframed) Note: The present work is a copy, in reverse and larger in size, of the first version of "Tentation de Saint Antoine" by Callot, c.1617. Callot first etched the subject in Florence and returned to it in 1634, after the invasion of Lorraine and his father's death. Another example of this edition is in the collection of the British Museum (accession number 1861,0713.1594) CONDITION REPORT: unframed trimmed, plate marks not all visible printed from two plates on two sheets joined down the centre stuck down on laid paper appears to have been folded prior to being stuck down, with associated creasing with further creasing and handling marks tears to the sheet, including a tear approx 14cm long on the right side of the sheet, halfway down, and a jagged tear approx 11cm long in the upper right corner circular staining to right edge of sheet, the larger 3cm in diameter, appears to be grease nicks to the edge of the sheet yellowed

Cinema - Pay Box removed from Savoy cinema, Petersfield built in 1935. The main glass panel has a strong Art Deco design achieved by the skill of acid etching & hand engraving. The Pay Box display above is supported either side by a pair of plaster pilaster columns. Together with a pair of original cashiers chairs.
Bernard Leach CBE (1887-1979)A balauster vase with dark green ground. 26cm tallA pioneer of modernist ceramics Leach was born in Hong Kong and originally studied painting and etching in London. Turning to pottery he spent many years in Korea and Japan. He set up a pottery studio in St.Ives with renowned Japanese potter Shoji Hamada. Leach succeeded in abolishing the barrier between “art” and “craft”, in creating a successful blend of modernist abstract design and traditional techniques.
