A Second World War German Kriegsmarine Dirk, the 25cm double fullered steel blade faintly etched with fouled anchor and maker's mark for E & F Horster, Solingen, the brass hilt with wire bound wrythen fluted cream plastic grip, the brass scabbard engraved with lightning bolts, 41.5cmBlack patching and pitting to blade, etching is very faint. Three small dents to the scabbard.
A Victorian 1827 Pattern Naval Sword, the 74.5cm double edge double fullered steel blade bearing traces of etched coat of arms and crowned fouled anchor, the gilt brass hilt with hinged guard, pierced and cast with a Queen's crown over a fouled anchor, the lion head pommel with long mane, with wire bound fishskin grip, the black leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts, 95cmEtching on blade is quite faint. Wear to the gilding on the hilt and scabbard mounts. Leather scabbard is split and chape is loose.
