No. 14 (right side of blade) | Condition: The condition corresponds to the age of the gun, with visible patina on the metal parts of the scabbard and minor wear on the hilt | Lot information | Palash model 1889, made at the beginning of the 20th century. The blade is richly decorated with etching, marked "Ges. Gesch." on the left side, while the right side bears the inscription "Hussaren-Regt. Landgraf Friedrich II. von Hessen-Homburg (2. Kurhess.) No. 14". This palash was intended for hussar regiment no. 14 of the German army. The pommel has a metal head and handle covered in ribbed black leather. The basket cover is decorated with the emblem of a double-headed German eagle with a heraldic shield. The blade is decorated on both sides with etched motifs, including floral ornaments and military symbolism.
