Stephen Parrish, engraving, coastal scene with vessels. 12 cm x 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The picture is framed in a typical ebonised simple frame with large mount. The etching itself is in good order with no foxing or damage. It is however a little yellowed and there is some discolouration around the edges of the mount.
Victorian 1st VB King’s Liverpool Regiment Officer’s Levee Rifle Pattern Sword.A rare example of the pattern. The single edged narrow blade is etched with a Crowned VR cypher, regimental title “1st Vol Batt. The King’s Liverpool Regt”. Also entwined initials (possibly HRA). The guard of the hilt incorporating a Victorian crowned strung bugle device. Housed in correct steel scabbard with two loose rings. Etching to blade VGC and clear, overall good clean condition.
British Army 1847 Infantry Pattern Victorian Officer’s sword.A good example retailed through Landon & Morland of London. Single edged 32 inch fullered, slightly curved blade decorated with a VR entwined cypher surmounted by crown and with initials “RNC”. Gilt metal hilt with crowned VR cypher, shagreen grip and copper twist wire binding. Housed in restored leather and gilt metal scabbard fitted with two loose rings and frog button. Blade clean, etching remains clear. Gilt worn to base metal. GC.
