The print was published with the present title in 1880 by Pilgeram & Lefèvre and exhibited in 1887 at the 'Exposition de Gravures du Siècle' in Paris.

The international artists' committee (IKG), was founded in Cologne in 1976 by renowned artists such as Joseph Beuys, Jochen Gerz, Klaus Staeck et al, committed to freedom of art, information and press.
