Imperial German Deluxe Presentation Dragoon Sword of the Westphalian Dragoon Regiment Nr 7, good untouched example of a Imperial German dragoon pattern officers sword with pierced large steel basket hilt knuckle guard leading to pommel with relief of laurel leaves wreath. Original grip which retains the original wire binding. Slightly curved piped backed blade with watered artificial Damascus decoration and fine presentation panels which run three quarter length of the blade. Forte with makers details of J A Henckels Solingen. Blade decorated with figure of a dragoon officer on horseback, trophy of arms, Imperial eagle, foliage and dedication in gothic script “Seinem scheidenden Kameraden dem Rittmeister de Terra des Offizier Corps des Westfalischen Dragoner Regiment No.7.” The reverse of the blade has etching of a dragoon officer in combat with the battle honours “1864.Gegen Danemarck;Gefecht bei Milsunde; Belagerung der duppeler Schanzen;1866 gegen Osterreich ; Gefecht bei Munchengraz; Schlacht bei Koniggratz;1870-71 Gegen Frankreich ; Beschiessung von Toul; Schlacht bei Beaumont; Schlacht bei Sedan;Einschliessung von Paris”. This side of the blade has etched 1870 Iron Cross. The blade would have originally been blued as well as the gilt but the blued finish is all worn away, however the gilt still remains in very good bright condition showing just light wear. Blade measures 84cms, overall 102cms.

WW2 German Kriegsmarine Officers Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn Solingen, good example of the standard pattern naval officers dagger with white celluloid grip retaining the original wire binding. Eagle and swastika top pommel and brass cross guard with release button to the centre. Housed in its original scabbard with two hanging rings. The blade has standard pattern etching with foliage and fouled anchors to the centre. Carl Eickhorn makers trademark to the forte. Some light surface staining to the blade. The blade measures 25 ¼ cms, overall 42cms. Stated to have been taken from a German U-Boat commander by a British Naval officer, however no proof can accompany this claim by the vendor.

WW2 German Army “In Memory of my Service” Commemorative Dress Bayonet by Carl Eickhorn Solingen, fine example of a standard pattern parade pattern dress bayonet with two piece black chequered grips. Housed in the original scabbard with parade pattern leather bayonet frog attached. Blade with etching to one side of down winged German army eagles, oakleaves and scrolls with the motto “Fur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit”. Reverse with Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark. Blade 19 ¾ cms, overall 34 ½ cms.
