EINSTEIN ALBERT: (1879-1955) German-born theoretical physicist, Nobel Prize winner for Physics, 1921. A vintage signed limited edition 9 x 11 drypoint etching of Einstein by artist Hermann Struck, the image depicting the head of Einstein, with slightly unruly hair, capturing both the seriousness and sensitivity of the physicist. Signed (´Albert Einstein´) by Einstein in pencil to the lower margin (the signature somewhat light, although legible) and also signed in pencil by Struck to the lower margin and numbered 89 of 100 in his hand. An appealing signed image. Some very light foxing and minor age wear, largely to the blank margins, otherwise VGHermann Struck (1876-1944) German Jewish artist known for his etchings. Struck created a number of portraits of Einstein (often in larger editions than the present example) and also captured other great minds of his generation including Freud, Nietzsche, Herzl, Ibsen and Oscar Wilde.

Posthumer Abzug. - Vom Kubismus und Futurismus inspiriert, fügen sich die abstrakten, kunstvoll arrangierten Bildelemente unserer Darstellung einem Klangbild gleich in rhythmischer Melodie.
