A rare Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'Crest' pattern Isis jug, circa 1933, painted with large blue flowers on a green scale ground within blue and white banded borders, black Newport pottery mark, 25cm high NB Only twelve pieces are known to have been produced in this experimental pattern. Both this lot and the following lot were displayed in a furnishing store in Ashton-under-Lyne, near Manchester and were given as a wedding present in 1933 to the vendors parents-in-law

The following eight lots were given to the current owner by a former employee of Unlimited who was given them upon departure from the company. Unlimited was established around 1966/67 by Jeremy Fry at Widcombe Manor, Bath. The company ceased trading circa 1971. Unlimited worked with the following artists to produce their artworks on a large scale. Unlimited exhibited at the London Arts Gallery, 22 New Bond Street, London circa 1970. The following designs can be seen in the Unlimited brochure for the exhibition. Kenneth Martin (1905 - 1984) Screw Mobile manufactured by Unlimited, circa 1970, made from chromium plated steel, formed of thirty seven flat bars at equal intervals in ascending order around a vertical rod, overall dimensions 65.5 high x 25cm wide. Provenance: Unlimited, Widcombe Manor, Bath, circa 1970. Kenneth Martin was born in Sheffield in 1906, and studied at the Sheffield school of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. His first Screw mobiles were produced circa 1953.
