A late 19th century Negretti & Zambra of London oak stick barometer, having signed white enamel barometer scale with twin adjustable dials, above thermometer dial, h.114cm Condition Report / Extra Information The face of the left hand inner sliding scale is off but present. Chipped to each corner of pediment. Has mercury ½ way up top dial, but showing no temperature to thermometer. Has probably been laid down at some point.

A Chippendale style mahogany grandmother clock the brass break arch dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, Arabic five minutes, signed J Stevenfon (sic) Stafford, foliate scroll engraved centre, eagle and urn spandrels, the arch with rolling moon and subsidiary strike/silent and silent/chime dials, the substantial three train movement chiming on four tubular gongs and striking on a further gong. The foliate applied hood with swan neck pediment, three turned finials and fluted pillars and brass fish scale side frets over a pendant moulded throat and glazed door flanked by quarter fluted columns and canted base upon ogee bracket feet, 212cm high

A 19th century rosewood inlaid mother of pearl stick barometer, by Blachford & Imray, London. CONDITION REPORT: The brass cistern cover appears to have later retaining screws. The rosewood case is in generally good original condition as is the mother of pearl. The sides of the piece are in good order. The vernier adjustment screw operates as it should. The angled scales are a little dirty and discoloured and the right hand scale has a hairline crack in the bottom right hand corner. The top moulding above the scale but below the cornice and pediment is a later replacement. This is loose. The pediment is original. There is an hinged bracket to the rear of the barometer which is a later replacement presumably in the absence of the gimbal. There is no mercury visible in the tube.
