A well-engineered model of a H Clarkson & Son of York vertical single cylinder steam engine. The single cylinder with 2 inch bore by 2 inch stroke being built to 1 1/2 inch to the foot scale. Brass lagged cylinder supported on trunk guide with open disc crank, eccentric driven steam valve, Stephenson's reverse with wheel operated direction control, bearings with oiler points. 6 inch diameter spoked flywheel. The model fitted with a water pump driven from the open crank and finished in green paintwork with polished bright-work. Overall height 38cm. Sole plate 21cm x 18cm.

A fine exhibition standard model of a Kinner K-5 radial aero engine, the five cylinders of air-cooled design with polished white metal finish and fitted with ignition plugs, polished copper exhaust pipes, laminated propeller cut back to 31cm in length. The model is approximately 30cm in diameter and is mounted on a stand with rear mounted fuel tank, pressure gauge, ignition wiring and throttle control. Set in display case with Perspex cover. A gold medal winning exhibition â…• inch scale model of the 1950's Rolls Royce Derwent Mark 9 turbojet aero engine, with a single stage centrifugal compressor built by Mr John Heeley of Huddersfield from his own research and information taken from the prototype at Newark Aircraft Museum. The original engine was designed by Adrian Lombard at Rovers prior to Rolls Royce taking over the jet project. It is fitted with 9 combustion chambers and a single stage turbine, generator, air cooling, air intakes, air compressor with radial blades, fuel pump, oil pump and baffles. Engine diameter 10 inches. Length 19 inches. These engines were fitted to the Armstrong-Whitworth Meteor Mk 12. Night Fighter. The engine comes with a set of build photographs in folder and had a four page feature in the specialist publication 'Model Engineer' Vol. 210. No 4450. A copy of The Model Engineer comes with the engine. Awards: This fine model won a gold medal at The Model Engineering Exhibition Class No A3/5 and a 1st Certificate at The National Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition 2012. A model of a vintage bicycle built to approximate 3" scale having spoked wheels with rubber tyres, linked drive chain with pedals, back wheel safety guard and transportation basket to front. Overall length 46cm. Height to top of handle-bars 26cm. Wheel rim diameter 14cm. Also in the lot is a model of a tandem bicycle and the remains of a 19th Century 2-2-2 'dribbler' steam engine. A fine exhibition quality model of a 5 inch gauge British Railways Royal Scott 4-6-0 locomotive and tender No 46123 'Royal Irish Fusilier'. Built by the famous locomotive builder the late Mr John Adams of Poole, with drivers seat bearing oval builders plaque JF & G Adams 1984 Poole. The silver soldered copper boiler having fittings including scale water gauge, three scale cab gauges, lever operated sliding firebox doors, drivers cab with folding side doors and simulated plank flooring, fittings including safety valves, blower, lubricator, brake, clack, direction control and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with valves controlled through Walschaerts valve gear and twin inside cylinders, cab controlled drain-cocks and associated pipework, ratchet lubricator system and brass oiler boxes, hand-operated and steam brake gear, injector and whistle. Further detail includes fluted connecting rods, fine riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons. The tender is fitted with hand-operated brake gear to axles and hand feed pump. The model finished in British Railways green with black lined livery and polished bright-work, detailed rivet-work and numbering to cab-side, fitted smoke deflectors, sanding boxes and brass framed windows to cab. The locomotive is sold together with its original display track set on polished mahogany plinth.*The original Scott Class was designed and built by Sir Henry Fowler and rebuilt by Sir William Stanier FRS of which this is an example. Often referred to as the 'Re-built Scot' being derived from the LMS Scott Class introduced in 1927 with parallel boiler and single chimney. The boiler supporting single cylinder with safety valve, open balance crank motion, spoked flywheel and worm and chain steering, coal bunker and fair-leads with wire winch. The model finished in green, red and black livery with polished brass boiler bands and strakes spoked wheels with polish brass wheel hubs. A fine and almost completed 6 inch scale model of a Burrell Compound road locomotive, having steel boiler with fittings including water sight glass, steam pressure gauge, regulator, lever operated fire box door, eccentric driven open crank with connecting rods having cross-head guides with brass oiler cups, the cylinder block mounted mid-way along the steel boiler and fitted with Foster mechanical ratchet oiler system, safety valves, steam whistle and Pickering type speed governor. The steam chest cover bearing cast panel 'Chas Burrell & Sons Limited Manufacturers, Thetford England No 4032. The traction engine fitted with belly water tanks, solid disc flywheel, worm and chain steering, back wheel winch drum with associated fairlead. Graduated quadrant with direction control lever, re-cycling water pump and many other usual features. A large scale model of the steam tug boat 'Freddie', the model being scratch built from a copper boiler with wooden wheel-house, funnel, single mask with rigging, fitted spotlight, possibly electrically powered at one time, fitted rudder and propeller and comes complete with its own stand.
