A scratch built model of a 'Town' class cruiser HMS York (scale 1:600) and accompanying book of its' history. In brief, this ship escorted Atlantic and Malta envoys, landed and evacuated troops from the failed Norwegian campaign. Active in the Med and attacked Italian fleet in Toronto harbour. Fatally crippled by 2 one-man Italian explosive motor boats in Suda Bay during the battle of Crete. Remained there for 11 years until scrapped in Bari, Italy in 1952. Presented in a well made wooden framed glass case

A very well constructed 2 inch scale model of a 3 ton Ruston Proctor, single cylinder, class SD light steam tractor, built to a very high standard by the late F Deane from drawings by John Hainings and a series of articles published in the Model Engineer Magazine, which comes with the engine. The engine is said to be unfired, but there is no boiler certificate. There is a comprehensive set of photographs showing parts and various stages of construction
A well built Raven scale kit for a Southern Battle of Britain class 4-6-2 engine & tender 'Biggin Hill' 210157, finished lined green, unfortunately the engine is missing a small side panel near base of fire box, which could easily be replaced, paintwork, particularly black, could be improved (G) (Please see lot 709 for image)

A scratch-built 1/48th scale model of de Havilland Gipsy Moth, G-ABJT, of wood tissue and metal construction, rotating propeller, painted in black, red and silver, 13.5 in (34.3 cm) wingspan, mounted in a glazed display case, with plaque inscribed "Presented to Cecil Pashley Esq., by John S. White his youngest pupil, July 1939. Scale Model of Gipsy 1 Moth made by John White. This is the type flown by him on the occasion of his first solo and qualification for his 'A' licence on his 17th birthday, 24 July 1939." (1)
