Model Engineering - a hand built exhibition standard 3.5 inch gauge 1:40 scale working model tank locomotive 2-6-4T, with full working plans, 26 cm (high) x 92 cm (length) x 19 cm (wide)with wooden carry case - this locomotive was completed over the course of 18 years and took 2050 hours - although this has been built and used as a full working steam engine, the boiler certificates have been lost by the vendor, and accordingly this is offered as a static model only - Bidding starts at £1000

Wyld J. : Military Sketch of of Zulu Land, The Transvaal and Adjoining Territories, 1879. A linen-backed, folding, 24 panelled coloured map housed within the original folding hb binding with the original label stating ' Wyld's Large Scale Military Sketch Map - Zulu Land' etc. The map itself has a heading at the top - ' Wyld's Military Staff Map'; there is an inset panel indicating the location of the territory featured on the African continent and other details featured are Mail Steamers & Telegraph Lines. The map was used during the Anglo-Zulu War in 1879. Very scarce. CONDITION REPORT: The cloth folder binding is beginning to deteriorate with small tears in the spine and the label is faded although clearly legible but is still basically sound. The map is in vg+ condition.

Text to verso. Framed and glazed. CONDITION REPORT: Vg. Not stuck down. Both sides glazed. Colours still bright. Some minor damage to the base of fold which has been repaired, another further small repair.

A 19th century Chinese patinated bronze circular incense burner with overall incised fish scale decoration and band of eight cast animals, probably personifications of eight Buddhist protectors of Chinese Zodiac, with twin handles modelled as dragons, raised on three figural supports, with pierced similarly decorated cover with dragon finial, with seven character rectangular seal mark to the base, height 31cm, width 29cm. CONDITION REPORT: Finial crudely attached to cover but appears to be in manufacture; general surface wear.

A Victorian mahogany mercury stick barometer, Cockburn, Richmond, mid 19th century, the 10 inch circular silvered register centred with a star motif within concentric scale calibrated in barometric inches with the usual observations, beneath arched mercury Fahrenheit scale thermometer applied to the tapered trunk and hygrometer to the swan neck pediment, the base with oblong spirit level signed Cockburn, Richmond over cavetto moulded underside, 110cm high.
Three vintage aviation models. A boxed Frog flying Scale Model Aeroplane, with 'foreign' markings and a boxed Nulli Secundus Remote Control Helicopter. Packaging shows signs of wear. Also included in this lot is an unboxed silver coloured plastic Testors Cosmic Wind Aeroplane 39cm wingspan, with gas engine, marked Made in USA Series #4910 to the underside of the fuselage, appears F/G. None of the models have been tested nor checked for completeness. (3)
