CONDITION REPORT A couple of fine hairline cracks around the outer scale, which is set beneath the brass 'arm'. Surface wear throughout, one of the coloured lenses is missing. The whole thing is very dirty. To the side brass plate there are rectangular and circular apertures, which presumably would have had something original. As mentioned, no box with this lot. CONDITION REPORT The mahogany cased bob thermometer has two sections of the wooden base missing and heavy surface wear. All four have general surface wear throughout. Provenance: this lot is from a private collection in Surrey and the vendor's father taught at Liverpool Maritime College many years ago.
