dating: 1875-1890 provenance: USA, Rifled, two-stage, round, cal. 32 extra short rimfire barrel; typical frame of circular shape, cylinder with internal scallop design, hard-rubber, checkered, rubber-ring grip scales, dismountable front plate; marking 'CHICAGO FIREARMS CO. / CHICAGO ILL.' on one side, model caption 'THE PROTECTOR' and patents on the other; center fire trigger with hard-rubber, checkered grip scale, in working order. Safety lock with blocked lever. Some pitting, probably later finishing. Serial number '7xxx'. length 13 cm.
