A very large and comprehensive collection of 1:144 scale diecast aircraft models, possibly by both De Agostini and Atlas Editions, predominantly WWII but with many post-war jets etc (approx 120). CONDITION REPORT All on display stands and mainly complete. Will benefit from cleaning, slight damage/bending to some smaller pieces due to transportation etc. A very good collection.
A boxed 1/10th scale Kyosho model of a DTM Opel Calibra touring car from the "Pure Ten" series. Fitted with a pull-start glow fuel engine and supplied with 27Mghz radio. CONDITION REPORT The engine will require suitable fuel and has not been tested, however the pull start engages and turns the engine over. The radio equipment is also untested.
Twelve 1/43 scale diecast models of American saloons and coupes from the 1950s, two glass ornamental Mercedes cars on plinths, a selection of Corgi diecast delivery vehicles of assorted types and livery's, three large scale diecast vehicles by Franklin Mint to include a Bugatti Royale, a 1939 Maybach Zeppelin drophead saloon, a 1950 Ford pickup truck, a Porsche 355 Speedster and a Bugatti Type 59 1/18 scale model by Burago (af).
The Japanese are by far and away the best manufactutrers of models - this set is the same scale as Hotwheels and Matchbox but the detailin is exquisite. 14th-15th century AD. An iron single-edge blade and tang from a scale-tang knife or dagger with four attachment rivets and remains of a fourth; scooped tip. Cf. Wheeler, M. London Museum Medieval Catalogue, reprinted Ipswich, 1993, item 13924. 130 grams, 37cm (14 1/2"). From a private European collection; formed in the 1980s. [No Reserve] Fair condition.
12th-15th century AD. A mixed group of slender iron knives, each with a single-edged blade, six whittle-tang types and one scale-tang. See discussion in Cowgill, J. et al. Knives and Scabbards. Medieval Finds from Excavations in London, London, 1987. 122 grams total, 11-14cm (4 1/4 - 5 1/2"). From a private European collection; formed in the 1980s. [No Reserve] Fine condition, some surface accretion.
Roman Period, 30 BC-323 AD. A round-section gold hoop with raised lozengiform head, double-coiled tail, punched scale detailing. Cf. Taylor, G. & Scarisbrick, D. Finger Rings from Ancient Egypt to the Present Day, Oxford, 1978, item 79 for type. 5.15 grams, 21mm overall, 19.05mm internal diameter (approximate size British R 1/2, USA 9, Europe 19.69, Japan 19) (3/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Very fine condition.

Miniature wooden shop 'Circle Candy Shop' of wooden construction (measures 26 x 39cm) with counter, together with a large quantity of miniature play food / packaging c.early-mid 20th century including 3 x Huntley and Palmers miniature tins c.1930's, two with the original biscuits inside (!), Pearce Duff's Custard, Dundee Marmalade, Coates & Co. Plymouth Gin, Libby's Stewed Steak, Andrews Liver Salt, Heinz Kidney Soup, Lifebuoy Soap etc. Together with a wooden cart containing 'vegetables' and a selection of larger scale cooking utensils. This shop and contents belonged to Faith Eaton, author of 'The Ultimate Dolls' House Book'.
