Toschi Ferrari 500 Formula 1 model, circa 1952/53, made in Italy, a very scarce large scale diecast model of the famous Ferrari ‘500’ Grand Prix in Monoposto, Toschi produced a limited number of 1/7 scale Ferrari models that were to be distributed as promotional gifts, with bottles of liquor sealed inside the car, the model is well detailed with original rubber tyres on pressed tin spoked wheels, upper body is removable with clips to secure the body still intact, rubber band mechanism is in working order, lacking original key or liquor bottle, but otherwise the model appears complete, new decals have been applied and signs of touch-ins and re-paint apparent, 46cm long
A rare, probably unique, ‘antique’ model of an early 19th century hand operated firepump with timber arm for horses each side. Scale approx 1½ inch: 1ft. Fully spoked out front and rear wooden wheels with iron rims, brass, iron and possibly gun metal 2 cylinder pump with overhead cam shaft with counter balancing weights and small flywheel on one end, the other end being squared off to accept lever arm which is missing. With rubber suction hose with brass filter, one swingletree, 2 brass coach lamps, 2 ladders (one a/f), in need of some restoration as front wheels are detached, date of manufacture uncertain, vendor believed c.1830 and possibly by Allday & Onions which did not partner until 1889
Triple expansion marine engine in the style of W Martin & Co., West Ham, London, 1:30 scale from the full size original, as described in The Model Engineer & Amateur Electrician March 1898. The scratch built modern engine is built from Martins original blueprints of 60A Boleyn Road, East Ham, E7, which are sold with the engine but are somewhat distressed. The engine is finely constructed as per the original and measures 18½ inches x 14 at the base x 21 inches to top of piston rod. Constructed from steel, painted steel and brass, the 3 cylinders are lagged with hardwood segments. Full details from Model Engineer are supplied with the model, it is mounted on a steel frame sub base with alloy chequerplate walkway and ladder to upper gantry to reversing hand wheel. Sold on its own 4 wheel trolley table
