A well constructed scale model of the Dutch passenger liner Oranje contained in a glass case, length of model approx 98cms Built in 1938-39 by the Netherlands Ship Building Co she was the fastest and most powerful liner of her time. During WWII she was used as a hospital ship, returning to being a passenger ship after the war. PROVENANCE: family descent
