A late 19th century Belgian cuirasier’s helmet, WM skull and peaks, brass peak binding, tall comb, the sides embossed with volutes in laurel wreath border, silver plated grenade to the front, large brass lion head HP, leather backed simulated scale chinstrap, ear roundels bearing bugle horn, red tuft plume in holder to top, falling black hair plume to back, plume holder on left. A LATE 17TH / EARLY 18TH CENTURY BRASS HORIZONTAL BUTTERFIELD SUN DIAL of octagonal form, the top side engraved Arabic and Roman numeral divisions and Butterfield's signature and having latitude scale and bird beak pointer, inset with compass, the underside inscribed Premier Cadran, engraved is the names of twenty European cities and their respective latitudes and all within original leather and velvet lined case, the sundial 7.8cm wide

REEL: Rare Hardy The Silex Major 4" Hiduminium bright finish casting reel, twin black handles, button release, ventilated face plate, ivorine trigger knob and half-moon scale to rim tension regulator, correct ribbed brass foot, internally stamped by Hardy reel maker "P W" and with large letter "H" to underside of check, superb condition throughout.
