From the table service of the German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II - a champagne glass, of the Gräflich Schaffgott'sche Josephinen glassworks, Schreiberau, circa 1910-12, with twenty-sided fluted bowl and gilded crowned arms with monogram 'FR' of Frederick the Great (Fredericus ex), probably made to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth, the stem cut with scale pattern, the foot star-cut with circular label beneath 'PLAZ ARUS' (for the Peter Lazarus Collection), hand-numbered U6, 18.5cm high, together with a second champagne flute of plainer design (2).
