A Victorian serpent necklace, the snake head with ruby eyes and split pearl ridges to a blue enamel ground, a pearl and enamel drop suspended from the mouth, on a scale-like link chain, 41.5cm (16.25") long/see illustration Condition Report: Main area of enamel to head is good but there is a small area repaired to the lower lip and a small flat chip to the clasp slot. The heart shaped drop is missing two small pearls and has slight chips to enamel and areas of repair to enamel.

The trunk with exposed tube flanked by parquetry banding, with domed cistern cover to the rounded base, 38" high Charles Aiano is recorded by Banfield as working from 91 Northgate, Canterbury 1828-41, having probably moved from London circa 1825. 37in.
