She is now permanently moored as a museum ship on the River Thames in London and is operated by the Imperial War Museum. A hand made wooden model of HMS Glasgow. Highly detailed. Measures 45cm in length. On wooden stand. The image with the golf ball is to show scale only. The seventh HMS Glasgow, built on the Clyde, was a Southampton-class light cruiser, a sub-class of the Town class and commissioned in September 1937. She took part in the Fleet Air Arm raid that crippled the Italian Fleet at Taranto in 1940. She had the unfortunate experience of sinking two Allied ships during her wartime service, once though accidental collision and the other by gunfire after a case of mistaken identify. A hand made wooden model of HMS Gabbard. Highly detailed. Measures 43cm in length. On wooden stand. The image with the golf ball is to show scale only. HMS Gabbard was a Battle-class destroyer of the Royal Navy (RN). Gabbard was built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson Limited on the Tyne. She was laid down on 2 February 1944, launched on 16 March 1945 and completed on 10 December 1946. HMS Woodcock was a modified Black Swan-class Sloop including Convoy Escort Movements. A large scale model of USN Destroyer Allen M. Sumner. This large and detailed model measures 89cm in length. On a wooden stand. The image including a golf ball is for scale only. The Allen M. Sumner class was a group of 58 destroyers built by the United States during World War II. Another twelve ships were completed as destroyer minelayers. Often referred to as simply the Sumner class, this class was characterized by their twin 5-inch/38 caliber gun mounts, dual rudders, additional anti-aircraft weapons, and many other advancements over the previous Fletcher class. The Allen M. Sumner design was extended 14 feet (4.3 m) amidships to become the Gearing class, which was produced in larger numbers. Completed in 1943–45, four were lost in the war and two were damaged so badly they were scrapped, but the surviving ships served in the US Navy into the 1970s. After being retired from the US fleet, 29 of them were sold to other navies, where they served many more years. One still exists as a museum ship in South Carolina. The images showing the Sumner in action are not included.
