A Markie 1:10th Scale Live Steam Road Locomotive by Fareham Engineering And Steam Co. To a Tony Pearce Design. Built 1990. Copper Boiler with certificate, dated 03/1990, 100 PSI. Forward/Reverse Slip Eccentric; Single Horizontal Cylinder with 19mm stroke, back head with pressure gauge, water level, steam clock and drain screw, steering by worm and chain. Single speed lever control, gear driven, rubber tyres: Gas fired, with fuel cylinder within water tender. Overall very good untested condition. Finished in Blue/Black and bright metal. Fitted with canopy sign written, 'Seth Oldroyd - Sheffield', length of engine 21", with tender 30", height 15". Model includes boiler certificate and provenance.
Six HO scale American outline locomotives including a Bachmann Pennsylvania RR K4 Pacific, a Western Maryland BL2 diesel by Tempo, a Rivarossi 0-8-0 (missing tender), two 0-4-0 switchers and a Rivarossi E8 in Santa Fe livery (missing bogie side frames), together with some components of a four-scar AeroTrain, all playworn and untested.
Eleven Plastic Model Aircraft and Historical Figure Kits by Frog, Inpact, Airfix, Academy, Life-Like to include Inpact Kits P104 Avro Biplane 'Those Magnificent Flying Machines' (bagged parts), Frog 1:72 The Trailblazers Bristol 138/A, Airfix 12th scale Oliver Cromwell. Loose parts noted off sprues, unchecked for completeness, boxed.
7.25 Inch Class 15XX "Paddington". A well-engineered 7.25 inch gauge live steam G.W.R Class 15X 0-6-0 pannier tank locomotive built to David Adams "Paddington" design/plans. The engine is finely detailed with a John Ellis "Belpair" type silver soldered boiler, (Built 2002) last tested 07/23 to 80 psi working pressure, a comprehensively equipped backhead with usual controls including prototypical sight feed lubricator, steam and screw down brake (acting on all wheels). Outside cast iron cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaerts valve gear. The model is in very good untested condition, finished overall in black with R/No 1503 to cab sides, she is complete with all buffers, couplings, steps etc; the paintwork has age related "Patina" and would benefit from TLC. The model includes what appears to be a full set of 1/1 scale plans (sheets 1 to 26), out of date boiler test certificates plus quality assurance documents. Provenance suggests she was built by Mr David Moseley of Sutton Coldfield M.E.S circa 2003 - last steamed 2023.Overall length 48 inch - weight approx 395 pound. The original 1503 was built in 1949 - designer Hawksworth, withdrawn 1963 - only one 15XX remains in preservation.
