NOTE: Reel catalogues 1923-1952 costing 67 shillings, internally stamped “RMS, Marshall Scott Hardy reel maker 1920-1969".

FLY BOX: Rare Hardy “The Roxburgh” mahogany fly reservoir, 9.5" x 8.75" x 3.5", original leather carry handle, brass non engraved plaque to lid, original lock/key, opens to reveal maker’s model and address to underside of lid, 4 x removable all original trays with polished metal clips and leather tabs, clips to base, tray 1 holding 13 x good large gut eyed salmon flies approx. 2" long plus an ivorine salmon fly scale with brass pin, numerous smaller gut eyed flies to tray 2, in superb original condition throughout.
ACCESSORIES: Early oak/brass compartment travel box, 25.5" x 12" x 4", recessed folding circular handle engraved “Edward Jones William Esquire” with inset decorative screwed brass corner hinges and crescent lever locks to front, opens to show a green baize lined compartment interior with 1 removable tray holding an early 9" loaded wooden priest with lanyard, ivorine salmon fly scale, unnamed Farlow style nickel priest, 3" alloy reel scales and modern plastic lines.
MALLOCH FISH: Rare Malloch of Perth River Tay cast salmon in glass roll front half barrel case 55" x22 x 9" makers label to top inner left of plaster base, hand painted to back, half block fish with internal legend Killed by WRDC Burnbane, Devine 2/10/25 weight 40 lbs. Minor hairline cracks to underside of jaw structure, otherwise fine fish with good strong colour and scale effect. Illus. **The “Burnbane Pool” on the River Tay is where Miss Ballantyne landed her record 64lb salmon after a reported 10-hour fight on Saturday October 7th 1922**
