A George III domed bracket clock by James Duncan having painted dial with chime/silent lever, the mahogany case with brass fish-scale pierced fret work to front and sides, brass bracket feet and carry handle, the four pillar double fusee movement engraved "James Duncan Chancery Lane London". Condition - Chiming does not stop when wound, chime/silent lever missing, bell cracked, cosmetic damage to case to include a chip to veneer on rear door, two repaired pieces to sides, pin currently holding hands on, no further damage, general wear to include minor marks and scratches, wear to gilt metal. A Victorian rosewood mercury stick barometer, unsigned, mid 19th century, the 8 inch circular silvered register centred with a classical urn motif within concentric scale calibrated in barometric inches with the usual observations, beneath arched alcohol Fahrenheit scale thermometer applied to the tapered trunk and hygrometer to the swan neck pediment, the base with oblong spirit level over cavetto moulded underside, 101cm high.
