Arthur Selwyn Mountford Leese (b.1909), an extensive collection of artwork, mainly watercolour landscapes, including local scenes in Kent and Sussex of Rye, Hawkhurst and other locations, unframed, housed in two folios. The Reverend ASM Leese was the vicar of St. Laurence's Church in Hawkhurst from 1951-1974 and is recorded as having painted the Royal Coat of Arms housed in the church dated 1957. He was a member of the Bexhill Art Society and exhibited at the Art Society shows in the town. He also exhibited on a small scale locally with his scenes of Hawkhurst, Rye and surrounding towns and villages being popular. This collection os being offered for sale by the artist's family.
