Heller Humbrol France - Large size Ship Model Kit. 80899 'Le Soleil Royal' The Royal Sun. Scale = 1:100. Appears complete, not checked. Various tape seals to box, cut to open and photograph. Box has scuffs and storage wear.Footnotes - Soleil Royal (Royal Sun) was a French 104-gun ship of the line, flagship of Admiral Tourville.She was built in Brest between 1668 and 1670 by engineer Laurent Hubac, was launched in 1669, and stayed unused in Brest harbour for years. She was recommissioned with 112 guns and 1200 men when the Nine Years' War broke out in 1688 as the flagship of the escadre du Ponant (squadron of the West).She was said to be a good sailing ship and her decorations were amongst the most beautiful and elaborate of all baroque flagships. The emblem of the "sun" had been chosen by Louis XIV as his personal symbol

Cargo Kings Trucks and Bryant & May have been displayed showing grime, the others appear clean. Some Beano vehicles appear to be in wrong boxes. Some boxes show storage wear and imperfections

Attributed to LEEDS MODEL COMPANY (with parts originating from others). An O gauge coarse scale non-powered GWR 43xx Mogul class steam locomotive in GWR shirtbutton green livery numbered 6306, produced circa 1938, damage to one pony wheel and some minor corrosion underneath. This loco comes with a full letter of provenance from the LEEDS MODEL CO dated September 2nd 1938 remarking on the work carried out to this model and requesting its loan for use at the Model Engineer Exhibition later that month. The lot also contains a CITY MODEL CO brochure from approximately the same period. - F/G unboxed (3)
