Lot 170

This Ferrari Junior race car is a 1/2 scale replica of the full-size prototype Ferrari (330P) wheeled out of Maranello in 1965 and destined for Le Mans. It has a 150cc engine with a top speed of 25mph. The body is on a custom box-section chassis with vented disc brake, key start, and working lights. 240cm in length. The interior is in hand-sewn leather with diamond stitch inserts. Built c.1970's and recently fully restored. Can accommodate ages from 6-66 with a fully grown adult being able to drive the car. Fabulous. It's going to take some willpower to say no to this one.

*Maserati 8CTF Slot Car. Circa 1950, a 1:18 scale model racing car, although labelled as an 8CTF looks more like a post-war 4CLT. Possibly manufactured by Baigent, the detailed aluminium body and chassis supports a small petrol engine, steering wheel (rim missing) spoked wheels, external exhaust and the remains of an aero-screen. In need of refurbishment, it is currently mounted on a wooden base via the 'Zonkers' fitted beneath. 12-inches (31cm) long. (1)

A 19th century Chinese porcelain ginger jar painted in underglaze blue with two opposing shaped panels depicting two boys playing on fish scale ground with flower heads, alternating with floral sprays, with geometric band to the top, bearing Kangxi double ring mark to base, height 20cm, with floral carved wooden cover (af).Purchased at Sotheby's Billingshurst in 1986. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition with no obvious traces of damage or restoration, general wear surface wear commensurate with age such as minor scratches and dirt, numerous manufacturing imperfections such as pitting, cover has been broken in several pieces and crudely reglued. Height including base and cover is 25cm.

CONDITION REPORT: Extensive crazing to the glaze throughout with staining, rings dull, surface wear such as scratches, odd areas of firing imperfections.

A Chinese porcelain circular plate painted in underglaze blue with birds perched on rocks amongst blossoming branches within ornamental border of floral motifs, whorls and fish scale to the rim, with square seal mark within double ring to the base, possibly Kangxi, diameter 27.5cm.Purchased at Sotheby's Chester in 1988. CONDITION REPORT: Numerous areas of nibbles to underneath of the rim, rubbing to the glaze of the edge, few chips/nibbles visible to the upper part of the rim, chips, nibbles and firing imperfections to the edge of the foot, surface wear and minor dirt, also an area of large bubble burst which has been later overpainted to the right side of the scene, rings true, with vendors stock number to the base.
