William Kent or similar gilt George II centre table, the variegated marble top having moulded edge, the gilt carved wood base having central masks to each long side, joined to the winged caryatid legs by swags, the legs also having fish scale decorated sides and united by stretchers with acanthus leaf decoration and central eagle, overall size L164 x W77 x H82cm, Provenance:- the vendor's late mother purchased the table in the late 1940s/early 1950s from a top London dealer as a genuine William Kent table, in order to furnish their house which was purchased around this time for £7,000

Gilt metal cased wristwatch by Omegathe circular white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, to a jewelled manual wind movement numbered 8889974 and 265 SOB T2, dial and movement signed, the case signed Dennison and numbered 286609 40, on a later unassociated expanding-link bracelet, watch case width 3cm Surface wear and scuffs to dial, patchy losses to finish on numerals and outer scale, light wear to signature. The glass is fractured above the subsidiary dial and has considerable wear, with some deep scuffs/scratches. The case has wear commensurate for age and use, with scuffs, scratches and chips, and losses to the gilt finish towards the outer edges and to the shoulders. The winder is gilt with a worn finish, unsigned, currently functioning, but may be later replaced. The movement runs when wound but is untested for working order, which cannot be guaranteed. Signs of general wear to later bracelet. Gross weight, including bracelet, approx. 57.3gm.

Dower, being a map of England and Wales divided into counties, parliamentary divisions and diocese, shewing (sic) the principal roads, railways, rivers and canals and the seats of the nobility and gentry with the distance of each town from the General Post Office, London, being a survey made under the direction of The Honorable The Board of Ordnance on a scale of five miles to an inch and corrected to the present time, four fold, gilt tooled Morocco, comprising S-E, N-E, N-W and S-W divisions.

Carol Peace (B.1970) - A contemporary bronze resin sculpture, depicting two figures embracing whilst sitting. Signed to the bottom of the sculpture by the artist. Measuring approx. 12cm x 19cm. Carol Peace is a figurative sculptor, who studied at Winchester School of Art and later set up a studio in the Bristol Sculpture Shed, which would later become Spike Island. In 2004 she moved to her Paintworks studio. The sculptures are made in clay and are then cast into bronze, letting the fluid marks of the making be fixed. Her work is shown and collected all over the world and her larger-scale work is permanently on show at Glyndebourne and at Dorchester's Country House Hotel in Ascot.

Generally good condition with some signs of age and use. Minor dints and scratches. Wear to gilding on tailpiece and tremolo arm. Yellowing of control knobs. Small area of binding lifting from the body near the upper bout. Tuners are probably later replacements. Case is serviceable but with plenty of scuffs and signs of wear, tarnishing to the hardware and some wear to the interior.

The model lasted until 1964 when the Nu-Sonic replaced it.
