A very well done, large scale model of a passenger ship. Unmarked, wood construction in original paint, mounted to a wood base. Amazing detail, with scuffs and light scratches to the painted surface. Has a USA plug for light within the model. A real good example from an avid boat hobbyist and model builder. Size: 23,5 x 13 x 142 cm. Condition: Good.
Penny fortune scale from the American Scale Manufacturing Company with red porcelain top, painted tin signs, and cast-iron base. Showing good porcelain paint with great labeling, some small dings to the tin body, and scuffs and some paint loss to the painted base. Nice patinated brass scale platform. Comes without keys. Size: 128 x 66 x 38 cm. Condition: Good.
Burago Ferrari F40 (1987) ( 1:18 scale model car on an angled wood base (14,5 x 27 x 2,5 cm). Metal plate on the wood base has the following text - 18/2/1988; Giovanni Ferretti; 1119. Very good condition, some spots where small amount of the red paint has come off. Made in Italy. Size: 7,5 x 11 x 25 cm. Condition: Very good.
5¢ Mercury athletic scale strength tester. Customer would stand on platform, push release button, drop a coin in the slot and select the desired strength test. The meter then moves accordingly and a bell rings. Appears to have original paint. In working order and includes keys. Instruction label reads "Test Your Strength Daily", "Lift, Twist or Grip 5¢". Size: 132 x 60 x 51 cm. Condition: Good.
Early Gilbert & Barker gas pump with older restoration done in Red Crown gasoline motif. Painted red inside and out with proper and double sided reproduction metal globe and glass inserts. Some exterior parts re-chromed and added a new white cloth gas hose. Has the original side buttons, visual gallon scale panel and dial face. It is missing original pump handle. Condition: Good.
An Edwardian carved pendant framed hall barometer with a compensated Aneroid movement by the German maker Julius Gischard, open porcelain four-and-a-half-inch dial measuring barometric air pressure from twenty-seven to thirty-one point nine inches, weather predictions written in upper and lower case gothic script with initial letters highlighted in red, blue steel indicating hand and brass recording hand, dial bezel with flat bevelled glass, mercury thermometer recording temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius, scale written in red Arabic numerals on an unglazed opal plate with arched crest above, Julius Gischard was one of the five traditional Hamburg barometer manufacturers whose history dates back to the 19th century, founded in 1874 by Christian Julius Friedrich Gischard and his companion J. Heinrich Saul, the company manufactured and exported many barometers to England during the 19th and 20th century.
A mid-Victorian four dial mercury wheel barometer in a mahogany veneered case, Swan-neck pediment and moulded square base, recessed hygrometer with a circular silvered dial engraved �dry� �damp� with a brass bezel and flat glass, removable bow-fronted thermometer box with convex glass, mercury thermometer tube, recording from nought to one hundred and ten degrees fahrenheit on an engraved silver scale, brass thermometer bolt, twelve-inch silvered register engraved with weather predictions in Roman upper and lower case and Gothic script, barometric air pressure from twenty eight to thirty one inches in hundredths of an inch, richly engraved dial center, steel indicator hand and brass recording hand, with a cast brass bezel and concave glass, hand setting knob, level bubble recessed within an oblong frame and silvered plate engraved �John Vincent� �Weymouth�.John Vincent are recorded as a family firm of Jewellers, watchmakers and silversmiths trading from 74 and later 86 St Mary Street, Weymouth, from 1801-1914. Twelve-inch barometers were the largest size of domestic barometer produced.
