A press pack of material relating to the English production of Cleopatra (1961) consisting of press releases, photos and contact prints of Elizabeth Taylor and members of staff, sets in construction and with posed model for scale, some with negatives with paparazzi images of Taylor with Eddie Fisher disembarking from a plane with four negatives, four images of Taylor in hospital bed, one with ink crop and negative, images of Prince Philip with some of the cast, images and statements to be distributed amongst press staff `to all managers; we are enclosing herewith one photograph of Elizabeth Taylor, made yesterday at a London clinic relating to her serious illness` accompanied with sixteen copies of a statement by Taylor, with film stills in original paper packaging, labelled Elizabeth Taylor portraits, Isabelle Cooley layout, Hand maidens layout, Rex Harrison Career layout and Egyptian banquet layout, negitves of children, presumably Miss Taylor?s etc. filming began in London in 1960, Taylor became very ill during the early filming and was rushed to hospital, where a tracheotomy had to be performed to save her life, this resulted in the film being shut down, the production was moved to Rome, with accompanying provenance.

PATEK PHILIPPE vintage Manufactured in 1944. 18kt yellow gold case with alligator strap and 18kt gold “ardillon” buckle signed Patek Philippe. Silvered dial featuring Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock. Caliber 13. Lever escapement. Chronograph timer meter and tachymeter scale. Comes with complete official “Extrait des Registres” (archival certificate) from Patek Philippe manufacture, dated November 2002, attesting the watch is in perfect original conditions. Ref. 130.
An Edwardian English double fusee bracket clock in round topped mahogany case with brass fish scale side frets and bracket feet, a 7""diam convex silvered brass dial with Roman numerals and moon hands, canted front corners to the case and brass inlays to the case front. The case is surmounted by a brass corner finial and a central finial on a wooden plinth. The substantial double fusee movement is chain driven and strikes on a coiled gong, 18"" tall overall.

A vintage High-Speed Hydrofoil Seacraft circa 1964 designed and patented by L.E. BaynesA.F.R.Ae.S, Baynes Marine Limited. The experimental hydrofoil was designed and built in 1964 and designated Secret by the Ministry (Admiralty) in 1964. The prototype hydrofoil craft was built at two-thirds scale and it has remained in storage for approximately 49 years. The overall length is 13ft.8ins. length WL 12ft.8ins. beam 5ft. speed 50 knots, range 200nm. and with archive scanned photographs at Swan Sales Builders, Swanage 1963, in preparation Swanage Bay 1964, under test Swanage Bay 1964, together with a scanned copy of a paper written by L E Baynes on the BAYNES HYDROFOIL SYSTEM. (The craft is not guaranteed seaworthy and should be regarded as a collector`s item)
An interesting ivory Hare, 1946-52, the animal dancing on a low mound, its ears pricked, engraved Kozan, 6.5cm Immediately after the Second World War, Japan was occupied by American forces. Ivory stocks were depleted and pieces carved at that time were invariably on a small scale and they differ in feel from both pre-war and later examples. CONDITION REPORT: Small chip to ear, and small chips to base.
An unusual light cavalry band (?) officers sword, curved 1796 pattern blade 30, marked Fs Deakin (working 1821) on backstrap, ornamental brass hilt, the S shaped crossguard of stylized floral finials, scale pattern centre section, well detailed horse head pommel and backstrap, ribbed ivory grip (small cracks), provision for chain guard (missing). An impressive fine scale kit-built 0 gauge LMS rebuilt Patriot class 4-6-0 tender locomotive. An electric 2-rail example of RN 5517, with the fictitious name Wigan. In lined black livery and equipped with vacuum pipes, safety valves, LMS hooter, sprung buffers and cab detailing etc. Built by Laurie Pickard and painted by Alan Brakenborough. Contained in a sturdy wooden carrying case, minor wear. Locomotive VGC. See back cover.
A 3 ½ scale live steam ex LMSR Class 5MT 4-6-0 tender locomotive RN45025. Painted in BR lined black livery, with second BR crest to tender. The locomotive has been fictitiously called Winchester (only a small number were originally named). Well detailed with drop-link couplings, number plate to smokebox door, Requires restoration overall and a new boiler certificate. Sold as a collectors item only. Together with a 1:24 1925 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost and 1929 Rolls Royce Phantom I. All boxed, some wear, vehicles VGC, Bugatti slight mottling and needs light dusting.
