James Peters Cambridge, a Regency bracket clock: the eight-day duration, double-fusee movement with shaped plates, striking the hours on a bell, the eight-inch round painted convex dial having black Roman hour numerals and signed Jas Peters, Cambridge, with blued steel moon hands, the Regency mahogany case having brass inlaid decoration, brass fish-scale sound frets to the sides, a gadrooned top surmounted by a cast brass pineapple finial and standing on brass ball feet, height 52cm. * Biography; James Peters is recorded as working in Cambridge from circa 1830 until at least 1840 where he was also known as a barometer maker. J.C. Peters is also recorded as working there from 1858 until 1865.
A Worcester (First Period) part tea and coffee service: painted with floral sprays within gilt scrollwork cartouches reserved on a scale blue ground, underglaze blue crescent and W marks, circa 1775-80, comprising: teapot and cover, milk jug and cover, teapoy and cover, sucrier and cover, teapot stand, spoon tray, slop bowl, a pair of dishes, five coffee cups, five teabowls and nine saucers [some damage].
