We cannot say whether the clock is running for the 56 hours and we suggest shipping via a Fine Art shipper. We are not sure how to open the chronometer and are not specialist horologists in order to confirm that this is a chain fusee movement. We can only say that this has come from a very good military Estate clearance where the family’s military and naval history goes back over 200 years to the late 18th Century. It has been in private family ownership for many years and appears to be in good original condition.
