An interesting matched pair of figural spill vases, one a Staffordshire pearlware example c.1800, of a Classical maiden seated with a funerary urn on her knee, perhaps Antonia clutching the ashes of Germanicus, and a hard-paste porcelain copy of the figure's pair, often called Poor Maria, of a girl crying while her dog looks on, 20cm max. An impressive Minton porcelain vase and cover, c.1830, the urn shape richly applied with a variety of flowers, painted to one side with a panel of figures on a bridge before a castle nestled in a valley, the reverse with a finely painted floral panel, the reticulated cover surmounted with a putto finial, cracked, 44.5cm. Barber, Winster, a silver pair-cased pocket watch: the chain fusee movement having turned finned pillars, a verge escapement with a pierced and engraved backcock depicting an urn with flora and a silvered regulation disc, engraved with the maker's name J. Barber, Winster, N 439, the dial with black Roman numerals, spade hands and decorated with a hunting scene to the surround, the silver pair-case hallmarked on both inner and outer for London, 1782, with the case maker's initials I.W, diameter 50mm. * Biography Jonas Barber of Winster was a member of the renowned clock making family and is regarded as one of the greatest of the Cumbrian clock and watchmakers.

Mougin, Paris, a porcelain panelled clock garniture: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a gong, the backplate stamped with the mark of the maker A.D Mougin, the round white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, decorative floral swags to the centre and decorative gilt-brass hands, the gilt-metal case having a pagoda top surmounted with a porcelain urn held by two winged putti, the case with various blue porcelain panels decorated with romantic and rural scenes with the matching pillars having two cherubs at play to either side, standing on a shaped gilt-wood base, with a pair of matching side urns standing on gilt-wood bases, height 56cm (clock) 44cm (side pieces)
Thos Baker, Falmouth, a mahogany longcase clock with rocking ship: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell, with the twelve-inch break-arch brass dial having a raised silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, the centre having a subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and engraved with a scene depicting a cottage and ruins on a river bank, with cast-brass urn spandrels to the four corners, the arch having a silvered rocking-ship automata with a lithograph scene set behind depicting boats at anchor, the top of the arch engraved with the maker's name Thos. Baker, Falmouth, the mahogany flat-top case with fretwork to the hood, a break-arch moulding to the top of the trunk door and a plain base, height 227cms. * Thomas Baker is recorded as working in Falmouth from before 1810.
A 19th Century Scottish mahogany, satinwood banded and inlaid sideboard:, of bowed breakfront outline, bordered with boxwood and ebonised lines, the shaped back with reeded fan and anthemion crestings and a central marquetry panel with cornucopiae of flowers flanking a central urn, containing two short frieze drawers and recessed arched apron drawer below, flanked by a deep drawer and enclosed cupboard of bowed outline, on square tapered legs, terminating in spade feet, 186cm (6ft 1in) long.
An early 19th Century mahogany and ebonised drum top library table:, the top inset with a panel of tooled leather, having an ebonised reeded edge, containing alternate frieze and dummy drawers, on turned, reeded and fluted urn shaped central column, square platform with ebonised reeded edge and quadruped reeded splayed legs, terminating in ebonised feet, 131.5cm (4ft 3 3/4in) diameter.
