An early 19th century French firescreen with a lift-up Aubusson tapestry panel of an urn of flowers in a scrolling cartouche, the Louis XV style carved wood frame painted grisaille and decorated flowers and rococo scrolls to leaf carved moulded splay legs of knurled feet. 30 1/2 in. (77cm) wide x 3ft. 6 1/2 in. (108cm) high.
A George III silver chafing dish, the circular dish with beaded rim and twin loop handles, the domed cover with urn finial engraved a fine armorial, the burner engraved a crest, all London 1775 the dish and cover maker's mark WC, the burner by Jas. Young, 30.5cm wide, 29oz all in; on a wirework stand, unmarked. The arms are those of WILSON impaling PATTEN quartering BOLD and probably engraved for an ancestor of John Patten Wilson, MP 1832-74 created Baron Winmarleigh of Winmarleigh, Lancs and died 1892. Lord Winmarleigh was Chief Secretary for Ireland 1868 Constable of Lancaster Castle 1879-92. His ancestral home Bank Hall, became the Town Hall of Warrington, Lancs.
A French brass eight-day mantel clock circa 1900, the bell-striking movement with cream Roman numeral dial with foliate cast gilt centre, in a waisted Renaissance inspired case with urn surmount and pierced strapwork front over mask decorated apron flanked by griffin mask and paw feet, 58cm high.
A 30-hour longcase clock movement and dial with penny moon circa 1740, the four finned pillar movement with outside countwheel strike, the 12 inch square brass dial with arched calendar aperture and penny moon with age to the foliate engraved matted ground centre, within an applied Roman numeral chapter ring with fleur de lys half-hour markers, Arabic minutes and signed 'Thomas Lister, Luddenden' to the lower edge, the angles with applied small urn pattern spandrels with herringbone engraving between. Thomas Lister is recorded in Loomes, Brian 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World, Vol 2' as working in Luddenden, then Halifax up to 1779 his son, Thomas II was renowned for his world time dials.

Giovanni Paolo Zanardi Bologna 1658 - after 1689 Still life with a hare, a pheasant, partridges, duck and other gamebirds, together with a basket of flowers and a gilt urn oil on canvas 97 by 132.5 cm.; 38.25 by 52.125 in. This picture can be compared to another pair of autograph works by Zanardi listed by Benati and Peruzzi as in a Private Collection, Verona (see D. Benati & L. Peruzzi, La Natura Morta in Emilia e in Romagna, Pittori centri di produzione e collezionismo fra XVII e XVII secolo, Modena 1993, p. 100, reproduced, plates 62 & 63).
A lady's early 19th century Swiss gold and enamel fob watch with verge movement, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, the front decorated with a flowering urn within an oval pink reserve on a foliate pattern foil inlaid green guilloche ground, with pearl border, slight damage to guilloche enamel on reverse, 1 1/4in diameter; together with a Georgian leaf-shaped pearl set gold mourning brooch, forming the fob, 1 3/8in wide. A 16th century bronze mortar of traditional flaring form with opposing squared lug handles, inscribed in relief around the rim ANNO SALVTIS NOSTER 1597, decorated with bonds of foliate patterned ornament and floral scrolls enclosing figures and a flowering urn, cracked and broken through the middle and with old riveted repair, 4 3/4in high, 5 1/2in across handles.
