A Brass Hunting Theme Striking Mantel Clock, retailed by Goldsmiths Alliance Limited, Cornhill, London, no.9478, circa 1910, caddy shaped pediment with urn shaped finials, elaborately scroll and bird decorated side columns, front panel with a hunting scene, base with acanthus leaf borders, 4-inch silvered dial with Roman numerals and retailers signature, twin barrel movement striking on a gong, movement backplate stamped Japy Freres and numbered 9478, pendulum bob with matching number 9478, 37.5cm high see illustration 08.02.21 Brass surfaces are discoloured, dial is discoloured and with surface scratches, movement is clean, hammer arm has broken and come away from the movement, the hammer arm is still present with the clock but needs repairing, with original pendulum.
A Walnut Marquetry Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Hen Massy, London, circa 1700, caddied pediment, brass capped columns, side viewing windows, marquetry trunk door depicting floral, bird and scroll work and central urn, inlaid stringing side panels, front of the plinth with matching marquetry, 12-inch square brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring signed, matted centre with date aperture and seconds, crown and cherub spandrels, five pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, later seatboard, 232cm high see illustrations Henry Massy is recorded as working from Charles Street, London and was free of the clockmakers from 1692 to 1745. 08.02.21 Case with veneers lifting in parts and cracking in places, case surfaces have been polished, some moulding beneath the throat moulding has been replaced, some mouldings around the border of the trunk door has been replaced, trunk door has been repaired at some time, signs from the back of the door with a rectangular piece of oak placed into the door, and it appears that the marquetry has then been re-laid onto the new pieces of wood and some small pieces of new marquetry re-laid, wooden dial surround veneers have been later added, some patching to veneers replaced around the case, some cracking to the plinth, later built skirting, dial needs cleaning and chapter ring needs re-silvering, movement looks complete, later seatboard.
A Late George III Mahogany, Marquetry and Parquetry Decorated Linen Press, early 19th century, the moulded cornice and hinged lid above two moulded cupboard doors inlaid with urns and enclosing four sliding trays, the base with two short over two long drawers, on bracket feet, 131cm by 59cm by 212cmGood cosmetic condition throughout and with fairly uniform colour. The left-hand marquetry panel to the cupboard doors with a small section of marquetry around the urn missing. Left-hand side previous screw holes? have been partly filled and polished. The urn marquetry is lifting slightly also. The opposing side with small split to the marquetry with some small repair work. With key and working lock. Drawers are paper lined. The cock beading generally good with small repair work. Small patch repair on the top drawer and a very small split left-hand end panel. Right-hand end panel with deep scuff mark and the right-hand lower panel with small patch repairs.

{} A Pair of Gilt Metal Mounted Pink Veined Marble Lamp Bases, in Neo-Classical style, of urn, the goats' mask handles hung with fruiting vine swags, on a circular socle, square base and peg feet, 65cm high, fitted for electricity. Both lower square plinths with cracks and some chipping to the under rims. Some of the mounts feel slightly loose. The wiring would need to be tested by a qualified electrician.
DERBY; a set of four 18th century figures of the four Continents, 'America, Asia, Africa and Europe', each with titled gilt scroll and with pseudo Meissen marks, incised no. 200 marks and bearing paper label detailing the collection of F.R. Briggs no. 96, height approx 22cm.Provenance: From a private Worcestershire collection.Additional InformationEurope, restoration to the gilt, torch in the left hand also the left arm, small area to the cornucopia, to the tip of her hair, to the scroll the sticks out the right of the figure, to the leaf decoration at the reverse of the figure, rubbing to the gilding, restoration to the crown at her feet. Asia, has restoration through the neck, upper torso, the hair at the back of the figure, her right hand arm and urn she is holding, to the left arm, camels neck, losses to the green scroll beneath the camel. America has restoration to right hand, the gold bow, left hand and the upper section of the quiver, also to the green bocage to the base, to the tip of two of the alligators toes. Africa, restoration to the elephant mask, to the face, the cornucopia, the right hand, losses to the green scrolls at the reverse of the figure, area of restoration to the left foot of the figure. All four figures have general surface wear and rubbing to the gilding.
