A 19th Century Swansea Cambrian teapot 'urn of flowers', together with a matching cabinet cup and another 19th Century Welsh floral teapot. (B.P. 21% + VAT) The Swansea Cambrian teapot has a large chip and loss to the spout, some fritting to the top of the teapot. The cup and saucer is very heavily crazed and stained and there is a chip to the saucer. The other teapot has a couple of minor chips to the spout and lid with crazing.
A Middle Eastern silk prayer rug, the all over floral decoration with a large urn of multiple flowers sprouting more flowers against a royal blue ground within a light blue thin border and a larger floral border and blue framing and knotted tassels, signed to outer border TW, 153cm x 94cm In general good condition
A late 19th century French ormolu mounted Sevres style porcelain mantel clock, with jewelled decoration, of urn form supported by faun head ormolu supports upon a shaped oval base, the dial painted with Cupid, eight day Japy Freres movement numbered F1607/5355, width 8.25in. height 15.25in.CONDITION: All of the joints where ormolu meets porcelain are rather loose and wobbly, there has been a break through the neck of the porcelain just about level with the top of the faun's heads (just beneath the ormolu ring), this has been reasonably well restored but can still be seen, gilding to porcelain good, a few small losses to the jewelling principally to the turquoise coloured beading around the top of the base, dial a little dull in finish, is not and looks to never have been glazed, slight raising of the gilding around the white interspacers between the numerals looks slightly pitted, hands look original, gilt Sevres interlaced mark to the underside, movement has a bell but no pendulum or key, looks complete but unable to be tested for timekeeping.
A Victorian ormolu mounted ebonised and pietra dura pier cabinet, with highly ornate ormolu mounts depicting foliate motifs, laurel wreath figures and musical putti, the single door inset with a hardstone panel of fruit and flowers in an urn, W.3ft 2in. D.1ft 7in. H.3ft 11.5in.CONDITION: Some slight chipping around the edges of the top with one split running from the right handside inwards approx. 15 inches, ormolu mounts all with some degree of oxidisation but still bright, one strip of brass inlay has sprung from the left hand side, rubbing at the bottom where the door catches against the plinth, door has working lock with key, interior is the original natural oak with a single shelf, some scuffing around the plinth base commensurate with age and use.
A mid 20th century carved giltwood wall mirror, with urn and scroll surmount, oval marginal plate and acanthus base, W.3ft 9in. H.4ft 8in.CONDITION: Some dents to the gilt work particularly around the left side of the rim, other minor losses to gilding scattered throughout but overall fair to good condition, cracking showing through the frame at 3 o'clock, original plate fitted.
A pair of Adam revival ormolu three branch wall lights, with flaming urn and goat's head backplates, foliate scroll branches, width 12.5in. height 21.5in.CONDITION: Slightly dull oxidised tone to the gilding with some rubbing, holes have been drilled by the laurel swags on the backplates and behind the goat's heads, both require re-wiring.
A late 19th century French ormolu mounted Sevres style porcelain cassolette, painted with panels of 18th century lovers and a river landscape and flanked by satire masks, height 12.5in.CONDITION: Ormolu now with a matted dull gold finish except for the candle sconce which has been mostly stored within the urn and therefore is of the bright original gilt finish, porcelain body in very good clean condition, one small spot of jewelling being turquoise around the base missing, small oxidisation and dirt spots to the ormolu but overall in good untouched condition.
A pair of 19th century French ormolu mounted Sevres style porcelain urns, with jewelled decoration, painted with scenes of noblemen playing cards and a couple with attendant hairdresser, height 10.75in.CONDITION: Urn with card players with some rubbing to gilding, loss of some of the white jewels around the top, ormolu in good state, slightly rubbed at the extremities, left foot loose, other urn with less rubbing but still some to the gilding, jewelling intact, tiny stress crack in the main stem, light rubbing to the ormolu at the extremities.
