A good courtsword, c 1900, slender hollow triangular section blade 31½”, by Ede, Son, Ravenscroft, 93, 94 Chancery Lane, London, etched with trophy and scrolls for half its length, cut steel hilt with pierced, downturned shell guard, crossguard and quillon, knucklebow, facetted urn shaped pommel with elaborate stud and swollen grip, the hilt polished and set with facetted studs overall, in its black PL scabbard (some wear) with steel locket, small suspension ring and chape. Near VGC, the sword retaining most original finish. Plate 7
A Victorian silver mounted claret jug Fenton Brothers Ltd, Sheffield 1898, the silver mount floral and foliate chased with mask spout and urn finial to the hinged cover, initialled and dated '1874-1899' above a cut glass body and star cut base, 29cm high CONDITION REPORT: Marks slightly rubbed but still clear and legible, cartouche to one side of the neck initialled in italics 'SJM'? and to the other side '1874-1899', cover does not sit quite flush to the body, hinge a little wobbly. Some very minor surface scratching and wear. Some very minor nibbling to the surface and high points of the glass, no cracks evident.
A pair of 19th century Derby porcelain figures of Peace and Plenty, each figure painted in polychrome enamels modelled resting besides an urn, on a canted rectangular base decorated with a Greek key frieze, 24cm high (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Each with black speckling from misfiring. Each with signs of gilt wear and some pitting. Occasional firing cracks also visible. Peace with chipped bouquet. Plenty with chipped bouquet, laurel crown and little finger and stained crazing to the platform surface and urn base.
A Victorian silver plated pedestal tureen and cover, Charles Edward Nixon, Sheffield, the wrythen moulded oval body below a foliately chased rim, urn finial, numbered '2321' to underside, 26cm high, 35cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Plating worn to the high points revealing the base metal below, cover fits snugly onto the base. Some surface scratching and wear but overall appears to be in good order.
1796 Pattern Infantry Sword and 1856/58 Sword Bayonet 32 1/2 inch, double edged blade with traces of etched Prince of Wales plumes and floral scrolls. Gilt brass, double shell guard with folding rear section. Gilt brass crossguard and double knuckle guard (possibly period replaced). Urn pommel. Wooden grip. Gilt brass now tarnished. Some pitting to blade. Together with 1856/58 sword bayonet. 22 3/4 inch, single edged Yataghan blade with large fuller. The forte stamped "H & H Co". Steel crossguard with large muzzle ring. Steel pommel with screw fitted spring. Locking stud absent. Replaced wooden slab grips. Surface rust. 2 items.
A Mixed Collection Of Decorative Ceramics Six items in total to include Coalport hand decorated figurine 'Natalie' height, 9 inches, along with Coalport figure 'Penelope', height, 6 inches. Along with modern Wedgwood figure, 'Rose' height, 8 inches, a continental glazed figure in the form of a seated seamstress, and a pair of Italian urn form jars in powder blue with classical decoration to body - some damage and restoration to the bases. A Collection Of Famille Rose Ceramics Six items in total each hand enamelled on white ground in traditional pink, green, turquoise and gilt floral and figurative design. To include two cylindrical vases - one with reticulated detail, two twin handle urn form vases, miniature covered pot and covered bowl. Condition Report - Small chip to rim, 1 small lidded box has a large crack across the lid and also has a crack on the Inside, the 1 Handled Vase has some small restoration towards the top of the vase, small chip to handle.
