A Chinese provincial cinerary urn and a cover, Yuan dynasty, with a celadon glaze, 22cm, a Chinese tea bowl, Song dynasty, with a dark brown glaze, and a Korean stem cup with light celadon glaze, 14cm diameter/Note: the tea bowl and the stem cup were gifts to Henry Sandon from the potter Phil Rogers/Provenance: from the Henry Sandon Study Collection CONDITION REPORT: Yuan Dynasty urn with a matched cover, the cover with a small rim chip, with deep chipping to the upper rim of the urn, 3-4cm wide, one of the applied straps to the neck is lacking, chipping to approx. half of the circumference of the footrim. Brown glazed teabowl - very small chip to footrim, unglazed foot. Korean stem cup - small chip to upper rim and flat chip to edge of footrim, some typical misfiring and sanding to glaze.

A Vienna group of The Music Lesson, or Le Leçon de Flute, circa 1770, the young man and woman seated together, two dogs by their side, the group painted in delicate colouring, 23cm high, indistinct shield mark in blue, impressed potter's letter A/Provenance: from the Henry Sandon Study Collection CONDITION REPORT: With discoloured restoration to his left toes and foot and her right toes and foot, there is an aperture to the top of the plinth on the rockwork, there may be a missing urn or element which should fit into this aperture, there are faint firing and hairline cracks issuing from this aperture, the corner of this plinth is restored, the man's black hat is restored and overpainted. Some minor scratching and wear to enamels overall.

A pair of Austrian plated two-handled urns, one on a raised base, and both on circular mirror plateau bases,by Stephen Mayerhofer, also marked with the Imperial eagle,campana form, part-fluted decoration, the interiors with a raised vase, one on a raised circular base, with foliate borders, both on mirror plateaux, with foliate borders, on four steel paw feet, with two replacement wooden bases, height of urn 32cm, diameter of plateaux 56cm. (7)At the end of the 18th century, Stephan Mayerhofer (1772-1852) was a maker of 'silver-plated wares on iron and steel', and by 1802 was a maker of 'English plated wares', presumably in reference to the Sheffield plate system of sandwiching metal between sheets of silver. The double-headed eagle mark denoting Imperial and Royal privilege for an 'iron and metal English-plated wares factory' was awarded in 1808. The firm of Mayerhofer and Klinkosch, and later as J.C. Klinkosch, eventually rose to become Austria's leading 19th century silver and luxury goods manufacturer.
