A Charming 17th Century Freisland Full Tester Bed. The panelled tester having a moulded cornice above an arched canopy frieze edged in a fret-carved border of undulating foliage. The head board with two small upper panels of floriate carving sliding across to reveal secret compartments, above three fielded principal panels; the central one carved with a depiction of Adam & Eve by the Tree of Knowledge and flanked by reeded side panels with daisy wheels to the corners. The three further uncarved panels below having re-entrant corner quadrants. The shaped side rails with ribbed triple panels. The foot board with reeded side panels reflecting the headboard flanking a carved centre panel adorned with an urn of flowers, and barley-twist side columns rising up to support the canopy. 80 ins (203 cms) in height, 72 ins (183 cms) in length, 62 ins (158 cms) in width.
A 17th Century Flemish Oak Cupboard Circa 1640. The deeply moulded cornice above a large frieze intricately carved with a central urn issuing plumes of scrolling foliage. The upper cupboard section having two single panel doors with moulded borders; the centres ornately carved with stylized foliage and studded with ebonised convex roundels. The lower section having two further doors with twin panels divided by stop fluted columns. The base accommodating two short drawers with ebonised handles above large squat bun feet. 70 ins (178 cms) in height, 56½ ins (144 cms) in width, 23 ins (59 cms) in depth.
An early 20th century Swiss dressing table timepiece in silver gilt and with mauve enamel, the oval dial with diamond-set hands is within an enamelled classical urn held with acanthus leaves within a further enamelled oval which swivels between a pair of fluted columns, onyx base. A very rare marquetry quarter repeating bracket clock, 8 inch square brass dial with silvered chapter ring, matted centre with calendar aperture, ringed winding holes and signed John Cotsworth, London, within the mock pendulum aperture, Strike/Not lever above 12 o`clock, the movement with verge escapement, pull quarter repeating on 6 bells, the backplate signed John Cotsworth, London amongst profuse foliate engraving, wheatear engraved border, the case superbly veneered with all over arabesque geometrical and pictorial marquetry designs including the inner surfaces of both doors, the basket top now replaced with matching veneered inverted bell top, on brass bun feet with urn finials and scrolled carrying handle, circa 1700, 16.5in (42cm) h.
