An assortment of 20th century china to include an Aynsley Orchard Gold lidded urn vase with gilded details, a pair of hand painted Henwick still life fruit cabinet plates in the manner of Royal Worcester, a Paragon fine bone china cup and saucer being decorated with gilded scrolled pattern and florals in the Alexandria pattern and a Dresden figurine in the form of a Rococo era society lady with delicate lace skirt. Measures 23cm tall.
Three decorative table lamps consisting of lamp with Murano glass writhen body, 62cm high; an Italian black glazed pierced pottery table lamp in the form of a lidded urn on a giltwood plinth, 25cm diameter x 56cm high; and an antique cast iron lamp base with figural support, possibly originally an oil lamp, 38cm high overall (3)All three lamps in need of rewiring. The Murano glass lamp in good condition barring some oxidization to the plated cap just beneath the fittings. The pottery table lamp in good condition with minor marks and scratches to the gilt plinth. The cast iron table lamp with some signs of very minor oxidization otherwise in good condition.
A late 18th century English porcelain dessert plate, painted with a classical urn and floral sprigs within a gilt-heightened blue border, 21.5cm wide; together with a pair of late 18th century tea bowls and saucers, with a matching coffee cup, painted en grisaille with urns within gilt borders; and a similar Derby saucer painted with an urn. A pair of 18th or 19th century bronze urns designed by Claude Ballin, for Louis XIV at the Palace of Versailles, each vase with satyr masks either side of an icicle rim, acanthus leaf moulded bands and on circular fluted bases with a band of ribbon tied reeds and a shaped square plinth, each 56cm diameter x 71cm high to the rimThe urns in the Palace of Versailles were made after the designs of Ballin by Francois Anguier or Michael Anguier and Nicholas Legendre and by the founder Amroise Duval in and around the third quarter of the 17th century. The urns in this lot follow the design of the urns at Versailles very closely. A similar pair of urns can be seen in Lanhydrock, Cornwall where they arrived via the Marquess of Hertford who had bought them over from his property in France, the Château de Bagatelle.The first urn with some minor holes, delicately cast overall and with good patina, with minor marks, dents and scratches due to use outside. The second urn with damage where the base meets the bowl of the top and with old repair, losses and restoration.
