A George II silver straight-tapered coffee pot by John Kincaid, London 1745, with an urn finial to the domed cover, a leaf chased spout and wooden double scroll handle, a tucked under base and round foot, engraved with an armorial, 24.5cm (9in) high, 838g (26.95 oz) gross. The quartered arms of FLETCHER of Clea Hall, Cumberland augmented with a baronet`s badge. Henry Fletcher was MP for Cumberland 1768-1802 and a director of the East India Company. In 1768 he married Catherine, heiress of John Lintot of Sussex, and was created a baronet in 1782. At his death in 1807 the successor to the baronetcy was his only son, born in 1772, also called Henry.
