A bi-colour double strand curb link bracelet with six seals attached including the largest swivel seal of yellowish chalcedony circa 1820 intaglio engraved with a family crest to one side and a maiden seated by an urn to the other; a George III seal of rock crystal intaglio engraved with the motto Decor Candor Amor (sic) around a bouquet of flowers; a George IV gold seal circa 1820 with an intaglio engraved cornelian in the base bearing the legend God Save The King around a crown a gold mounted sardonyx seal and two further intaglio engraved seals
A French porcelain gilt metal mantel clock in Louis XVI style the circular 'Svres' dial with Roman chapter ring the centre painted with Cupid and musical trophy reserved on a dark blue ground eight day movement striking on a bell the beaded cylinder case beneath a porcelain bodied two-handled urn and supported by flower sprays the bow-end breakfront base beneath a tasselled lambrequin framing a porcelain panel painted with a Grecian maiden holding a flower spray infant demi-figures issuing from acanthus scrolls to each side 42cm high mid-19th century
An attractive and unusual Turkish embroidered purse the pear-shaped felted wool ground finely worked in silk tambour stitch on each face with a two-handled urn of flowers containing a spray of tulips pinks and cornflowers within multiple floral borders the back face scalloped at top to form closing flap; three original added green silk tassels and interior lined in green cotton. Probably Brusa west Anatolia early 19th century max dim. open 9in. x 7in. 23cm. x 17.5cm. One side a little faded the black and white silk cord edging handle closing loop and toggle probably later additions. Attached to inside flap is a small paper label bearing the following ink inscription in a contemporary hand: ‘Turkish bag brought from Syria circa 184[?]-1849 by the great Eastern traveller Sir Gardiner Wilkinson’. Sir John Gardner (or Gardiner) Wilkinson (1797-1875) was the greatest British Egyptologist of his day. From 1843-4 he was in the Balkans an account of which expedition he published in two volumes as Dalmatia and Montenegro in 1848. In 1847 he published A Handbook for Egypt. Including Descriptions of the Course of the Nile to the Second Cataract Alexandria Cairo the Pyramids and Thebes the Overland Transit to India the Peninsular of Mount Sinai the Oases etc. which became the basis for Murray’s standard guide for travellers to the Middle East. It was at this time travelling through lands all of which were under Ottoman domination that Sir Gardner may have collected this purse. A recent biography Sir Gardner Wilkinson and his Circle by Jason Thompson was published by the University of Texas Press in 1992.
A silver and enamel timepiece, Vienna, circa 1885, the octagonal case held aloft by a mermaid and surmounted by a two-handled urn, the three quarter inch circular enamel dial with ring of roman numerals and classically painted two figure centre within an engine turned silver gilt surround depicting two classical figures striking two bells behind an octagonal glass front, the back engraved with C scrolls, flowerheads and leaves behind a domed octagonal glass back standing on a rectangular glass and enamel base with canted corners, 7" high
Two late Victorian rosewood salon armchairs, the top rail elaborately ivory inlaid depicting central urn within scrolling leaves over a padded back and ivory line strung show frame, the scroll arms on urn shaped supports flanking the overstuffed seat on square tapering front legs terminating in a spade foot, the companion chair with hoop open arms (2)
A good pair of Doulton Lambeth stoneware two handled urn pattern vases by Hannah Barlow, the bodies decorated with a wide centre band incised and decorated in blue with ponies and cattle, within borders incised and decorated in brown, blue and green with a bold leaf design, within plain blue glazed borders and handles, 14.5ins high (impressed mark “Doulton Lambeth”, dated 1886, with incised monogram to bases and also to one of the centre bandings)

A fine late George III mahogany bureau bookcase, with a swan neck pediment, centred by an urn finial above satinwood inlaid frieze, a pair of astragal doors below enclosing adjustable shelves, decorated with cross banding and boxwood stringing, the rectangular fall-flap under fitted an engraved brass lock escutcheon with hinged keyhole cover opening to reveal the green baize-lined interior, fitted with pigeonholes, small drawers and a cupboard, with one long drawer under opening to reveal the pop-up central mirror and compartments with hinged and detachable covers in satinwood, a pair of ivory cylindrical-shaped jars and small glass bottles, three further long graduated drawers below fitted moulded brass handles, raised on bracket feet, 42in. x 99in. high.
A twenty-key barrel organ with automaton monkey violinist probably Thibouville Lamy circa 1860 the monkey dressed in knee breeches and tailcoat seated in a room setting with gilt mirrors over the barrel organ mechanism all in rosewood and simulated rosewood case; the lower section centred with a marquetry urn of flowers on plinth base (a.f.) H 83.5cm W 49.5cm
A George III silver tea urn the inverted pyriform body and cover embossed with a spiral rococco design surmounted by a flame finial and having twin beaded and acanthus scroll handles and leaf-wrapped tap raised on gadroon-bordered and pierced square base and claw-and-ball feet; bearing Lowe family armorials London 1763 maker Benjamin Brewood 105oz approx; in fitted pine case.
