A 19th century mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, the hood with swan-neck pediment and Corinthian columns, having an arched inlaid waist panelled door decorated with neo classical urn and ribbon designs with similar decoration to the boxed base, the 30cm. arched brass dial signed 'Benefink & Co., London', with subsidiary seconds dial, the twin train movement with anchor escapement, striking to a gong, 237cm. high.
Giovanni Paolo Zanardi Bologna 1658 - after 1689 Still life with a hare, a pheasant, partridges, duck and other gamebirds, together with a basket of flowers and a gilt urn oil on canvas 97 by 132.5 cm.; 38.25 by 52.125 in. This picture can be compared to another pair of autograph works by Zanardi listed by Benati and Peruzzi as in a Private Collection, Verona (see D. Benati & L. Peruzzi, La Natura Morta in Emilia e in Romagna, Pittori centri di produzione e collezionismo fra XVII e XVII secolo, Modena 1993, p. 100, reproduced, plates 62 & 63).
A lady's early 19th century Swiss gold and enamel fob watch with verge movement, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, the front decorated with a flowering urn within an oval pink reserve on a foliate pattern foil inlaid green guilloche ground, with pearl border, slight damage to guilloche enamel on reverse, 1 1/4in diameter; together with a Georgian leaf-shaped pearl set gold mourning brooch, forming the fob, 1 3/8in wide. A 16th century bronze mortar of traditional flaring form with opposing squared lug handles, inscribed in relief around the rim ANNO SALVTIS NOSTER 1597, decorated with bonds of foliate patterned ornament and floral scrolls enclosing figures and a flowering urn, cracked and broken through the middle and with old riveted repair, 4 3/4in high, 5 1/2in across handles.
A small, rare, George III two colour gold and silver mounted "blue john", (Derbyshire flourspar) box of plain cylindrical form, the pull off cover with a fretwork urn of flowers, set with rubies and rose cut diamonds, by an unascribed maker "F G", Sheffield 1801 (contained in original fitted case), 3.5in (1.4cm) diameter.
