A late 19th century French ormolu mounted Sevres style porcelain cassolette, painted with panels of 18th century lovers and a river landscape and flanked by satire masks, height 12.5in.CONDITION: Ormolu now with a matted dull gold finish except for the candle sconce which has been mostly stored within the urn and therefore is of the bright original gilt finish, porcelain body in very good clean condition, one small spot of jewelling being turquoise around the base missing, small oxidisation and dirt spots to the ormolu but overall in good untouched condition.
A graduated set of four 19th century English porcelain vases, of two handled urn form, decorated with flowers against a gilt cobalt blue ground. The tallest 14.5cm high. General age related wear to gilt and painted decoration. Removed from a Cambridge property, owned by a University of Cambridge Fellow.
A pair of pretty miniature Crown Derby urn style Vases, with date mark for possibly 1782. The body, base and handle having gilded finish (one handle broken off but present) and the small panel of hand painted berries and fruits on a royal blue ground with domed pierced rims and the footed part of each one in the form of four paw like design. One urn has tulip style gilding to the base and the other carnation style gilding. Apart from the broken handle and some rubbing to the gilding probably due to the age there are no cracks or chips to either, both 4'' tall.
Chesterfield (Philip Dormer Stanhope, Earl of) Miscellaneous Works, 3 vol. in 2, first edition, half-titles, 7 engraved portraits, engraved plate of the widowed Countess with urn by Bartolozzi after Cipriani (water-stained at head), tissue guards, vol.1 with Directions to Binder leaf at end and mark across 2N3 & 4, vol.3 with tear to K1 but no loss, some light spotting (mostly to vol.3), engraved bookplate of Voltelin Heath and signature to front pastedowns, contemporary diced calf, gilt, spines gilt with red and green labels, rubbed and slightly stained, some repairs, 4to, for Edward and Charles Dilly, vol.3 by and for T.Sherlock [& others] , 1777-78.⁂ A sound set with good margins, unusually bound up with the scarce third volume. The editor, Maty, died whilst preparing the work so the first two volumes were issued by Dilly, and the final volume edited by his son-in-law John Obadiah Justamond and published by Sherlock. ESTC records only 5 UK copies of the third volume.

An 18th century Meissen porcelain cup and saucer, circa 1765, the cup painted with a scene of lovers in a landscape and scattered flowers, the saucer similarly decorated with two seated figures in a landscape with an urn and pedestal, both pieces with gilt rims, Punkt period blue crossed sword marks, label for "The Antique Porcelain Co. Ltd, 149 Bond Street", saucer 13cms diameter (2).
