James Woolley of Codnor, Derbyshire, 30 hr longcase clock in oak case. A lovely clock by the famous Woolleys of Codnor. With 12" brass dial with sad mouth calendar, urn spandrels, single hand signed on the dial centre Woolly Codnor, with 30hr movement bearing all the Woolley characteristics Cut out to plate shaped back-cock and typical Woolley seat-board with oval shaped aperture. The oak case has applied brass capped columns to hood door, long trunk door with arch top, Brass butterfly hinges. Comes with weight and pendulum.James Woolley 1695 to 1786. The Woolley family worked in Codnor Derbyshire throughout the 1700 James was later joined by his son John Woolley.Condition report Good original condition all looks to be original and belonging. No recent restoration seat-board has small amount of packing but looks original.

A rare John Frearson Derby verge lantern clock with 6 1/2" brass circular dial engraved to centre with flowers and leaves Above the dial the pediment is brass, engraved with dolphins and water Lilly flowers. Frets to the sides are plain but cut to the same shape as the front fret. A single hand. Four posted brass pillared movement Each pillar with urn finials to tops and round sphere balls on base. Striking on a large bell with double strapped top and central brass urn finial. A rope driven verge movement (rope not connected) Plain side doors on swivel catches which feature an engraving of a moon when locked. Completely original and untouched with old conical lead weight counter weight and brass pulley wheel.Condition reportAll appears original and untouched for a long time. Rope not attached weight may be a later replacement. Hand maybe a very old replacement. A PAIR OF FRENCH 25 BORE FLINTLOCK PISTOLS BY PENEL FRERES, MID-18TH CENTURYwith two-stage russet iron cannon barrels with moulded muzzles fitted with silver fore-sights on a gilt sunburst behind, moulded girdles decorated with a gilt grenade in front, the breeches decorated with gilt trophies-of-arms ahead of a panel of gilt trellis within a linear frame, border-engraved tangs, signed rounded locks (one cock, both top-jaws and screws replaced), moulded figured full stocks (minor bruising and small cracks) each carved with a raised oak foliage and acorn flourish about the tangs and inlaid with a symmetrical pattern of silver wire scrolls behind, border-engraved steel mounts comprising moulded side-plates, spurred pommels decorated with a grenade on the cap, trigger-guards each with flaming urn finial, and moulded ramrod-pipes (later horn-tipped ramrods, areas of patination)19.2 cm; 7 1/2 in barrels(2)The brothers François and Antoine Penel are recorded in St Etienne 1746-62.

Royal Worcester collection of porcelain consisting of: P. Platt urn vase decorated with fruit, marked to the base, 30cm high overall, M. Hunt vase decorated with roses, marked to the base, 17cm high, H. Henry lidded vase decorated with fruit, marked to the base, two Royal Worcester leaf vases, one green, the other pink, one marked to the base, 15cm high and a Royal Worcester cup and saucer decorated with zoo animals (7)Pink vase chipped. Unknown if the large vase once had a lid or not. Overall minimal firing faults. There is minimal wear to the gilding on the fruits and rose examples, but otherwise seem ok.

A FRENCH LOUIS XVI KINGWOOD AND MARQUETRY SECRETAIRE ABATTANT BY FRANCOIS BAYER, C.1780 with ormolu mounts and inlaid with various woods, including: purpleheart and fruitwoods, with lattice work, panels of ribbon tied musical trophies and an urn, the grey marble moulded edge top above a frieze drawer and a hinged fall, revealing an interior fitted with six drawers and a later gilt tooled leather writing surface, the base with a pair of cupboard doors, enclosing a shelf 138.3cm high, 95.3cm wide, 38.5cm deep Provenance Redlynch House, Salisbury, Wiltshire.
