A.D Mougin, a French white marble and ormolu mounted clock garniture, late 19th/20th century. The clock supported on the backs of a pair of putti, the dial marked in Arabic numerals and decorated with swagged garlands below an amatory trophy mounted on a rectangular base with toupe feet, accompanied by a pair of matching swag draped urn form pastile burners on corresponding white marble bases. 26 cm wide x 35 cm high (the clock)Condition report: The bodies of the clock are good without chips or cracks, I can see some quite good replacement brass beaded moulding around the base. The dial is good and bright and looks to be intact but it moves slightly when touched, perhaps the solder fixing has come looseThe clock comes with a pendulum and (a) key. The spring steel pendulum suspension is slightly twisted.I have wound both trains and one had very little travel and the other a little more, I set the pendulum in motion but it stopped soon after, this could be because of the twistI tried advancing the hands to see if I could get the chiming train to activate but it remained unresponsive. In brief, the clock is in good decorative order but will require mechanical work to make good
