A Cypriot iron age pottery ewer or Oinochoe of globular form with roundel decoration, 25 cm high and a similar near matching urn with two side handles raised on a circular foot bearing label to underside "Cyprus 800 BC", 18 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Twin handled pot - numerous chips to the rim and to the handles, various scratches to the body, deep scratches chips etc. Some dark staining, rocks slightly on the foot, looks to be an impact mark to the lower body but no repair visible under UV light. Large chip and loss to the foot - has been re-glued - see images. To the ewer - a large chip/loss to the rim, body appears to be stained dark, various chips and scratches throughout. Mottled effect to the lower deep chip and also to the body, various general signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use to both items - see images for further details. Provenance: Collected by Humphrey Neame, prominent eye surgeon of Harley Street in the 1940's at which time he visited/was involved with digs in and around Cyprus, believed to have been acquired at this time.

Constructed of thick heavy black stoneware pottery. Likely made by Doulton & Co, London. Measures approx; 136cm tall.  Similar pots feature in lots; 138, 139 and 140 NOTE: consigned from a local property where they have been used as architectural garden features since the mid 1960's. The vendor's father worked at a Bristol metal work factory, where it is believed these contained Zinc. Upon their release from the factory they were brought home, and pulled into place by the families Morris Minor. There they have remained until they were consigned to auction. The final photographs show an original Doulton & Co of Lambeth advertisement for this style of stoneware pot.

Constructed of thick heavy stoneware, and stamped for ' Doulton & Co, London ,' to the front along with various other stamps. Large screw threads still remain to the top. Measuring approx 153cm (5ft) tall.  Similar pots feature in lots; 136, 139 and 140 NOTE: consigned from a local property where they have been used as architectural garden features since the mid 1960's. The vendor's father worked at a Bristol metal work factory, where it is believed these contained Zinc. This vat being seated within a custom made wooden transportation cradle. The vendor's father worked at a Bristol metal work factory, where it is believed these contained Zinc. A 19th century Russian brass twin-handled ogee samovar and stand, fluted and lobed reservoir, lift-off cover with everted neck pierced with stars, cylindrical chimney with turned ivory handle, scrolling handles, lotus-capped pedestal, incurved square base, foliate bracket feet, circular slop bowl en suite, the urn 67cm high, stamped G.P. within a rectangular lozenge, c. 1840 Condition Report: Each twin-handle turning either side of the reservoir are in-keeping replacements. One handle scroll support is currently loose. The tap is also loose but present and the repair would be clean. Surface wear and some light bumps commensurate with age and use.
