Benjamin Maud of London - 8-day mahogany longcase clock c 1770, with an open fretted swan necked pediment and urn finial, break arch hood door flanked by reeded pilaster with Corinthian capitals, trunk with blind fretwork, reeded quarter columns and a break arch trunk door with a glazed lenticle, short plinth with raised beaded moulding on a stepped base, brass break arch dial with spandrels, matted dial centre, recessed seconds and date apertures with a silvered chapter ring, cartouche name plate and engraved silvered boss depicting a bird of prey to the arch, with a recoil anchor escapement and rack striking, striking the hours on a cast bell. With weights and pendulum.Benjamin Maud is recorded as working in London pre-1760, becoming a member of the London Clockmakers Company in 1782. Harriet Braddyll a remembrance from Hh Brown Obit Dec 21 1878, total estimated diamond weight 1.65 carat approximately in a fitted case labelled ?r Upton, late Aumonier, Jeweller, Silversmith, Diamond Worker and Watchmaker, 153 Leadenhall Stmeasures 4.1cm by 3.7cmThe brooch is in good condition with minor nicks to the enamel. It fastens with a pin and c-hook catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold and silver. The principal diamond measures 6.02mm x 5.11mm, depth unobtainable. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 15.8 grams. CR made 05/02/24.

A French Louis XV Boulle-Style Ebonised, Red Tortoiseshell and Brass-Inlaid Foldover Card Table, circa 1850, of serpentine-shaped form, the top inlaid with an urn, Roman chariot and horses, the hinged leaf enclosing a green baize-lined interior, the arched frieze centred by a female mask, on cabriole forelegs with caryatid mounts and sabots88cm by 44cm by 78cmGenerally good. However, leaf with some minor natural? fine splits, mainly around left corner. Interior good. Some slight wear and staining to green baize. Baize is modern. Frieze brasswork starting to lift in places, mainly around scrolled sections. Legs and sides with some sections of tortoiseshell missing, brasswork also lifting in places. Timber is rather dry to the moulded top, there are some sections of brass inlay missing to the top also (see further images).

Righthand side panel with small splits and patch repair. Rear right leg repaired but structurally sound.
