An early Victorian ebony writing slope in the manner of John Turrill, inlaid with mother of pearl, brass and abalone, with an urn of flowers with leaf scroll corners, the hinged lid revealing a tooled velvet writing surface, with a pair of plated and glass travelling inkwells, a pen tray and two lidded compartments, with a satinwood veneered interior with three secret drawers behind a sprung panel, 10.5cm high, 38cm wide, 25.4cm deep.
A Victorian mahogany and marquetry open bookcase, inlaid with stringing and satinwood banding, the top inlaid with a band of leaves, above a frieze decorated with a scroll of foliage and a pair of griffins flanking an urn, with two adjustable shelves, the sides with oval panels with draped urns, the base with a reel moulding, on fluted legs, 19th century, 106.5cm high, 106.9cm wide, 39.4cm deep.
A pair of gilt bronze and brass figural candlesticks, modelled as women dressed in classical attire, each balancing an urn upon their head, 22 cm high (2)Remnants of wax. The tops are wonky. Scuffs and scratches to the exterior consistent with age and usage, areas of tarnishing. Top of one possibly re-attached. One figure loose at base.
