Jan van Os (Dutch, 1744-1808), 'Summer flowers in an earthenware vase' oil on canvas, signed 'J Van Os' to ledge, Frost & Reed gallery label verso 19½ x 16½in. (49.5 x 42cm.) * Provenance: Frost & Reed, 41 New Bond Street, London, stock no. 51569. Purchased 1978.** Condition: Older relining (prior to purchase by current vendor in 1978). Remains in good, clean hanging condition and is evenly stretched. A vertical stretcher line approx. 2in. from the left margin is visible when viewed from an angle (caused prior to the relining). Surface stable, with fine craquelure across the surface. Examined under UV - some retouches visible to left of signature and a few other places to margins and corners outside main subject. Some strengthening visible to darker details in main subject, notably to shadow at foot of urn, shadow below central large rose and darker areas inside petals of yellow-orange flowers and dark red dianthus.
A 19th century Continental gilt bronze covered urn, decorated with glass jewels, masks and wasps, standing on a marble plinth, together with a gilt bronze and porcelain Serves style standish, decorated with a cockerel, the bowl standing on four dolphin feet, lion mask handles, a/f, the urn 11in. (28cm.) high. (2) * Condition: Urn in good condition with three jewels missing and some minor paint wear. Dish with chip on upper rim and one ormolu handle detached.
A pair of French bronze four light candelabra, late 19th century, in the Pompeiian taste, the tapering reeded columns supporting the faux oil wells issuing tapering urn shaped candle sockets, with gilt chain decoration beneath, the tripod bases cast with anthemion motifs, on paw feet and gilt stepped bases, 24¼in. A George III silver sugar caster, London, 1806, maker's mark rubbed but probably Peter and William Bateman, urn form with reeded girdle, the gourd form pierced top with bladed knop finial, square base inscribed "S.H.C. Ne'Le 1st Mai 1807, 7in. (17.8cm.) high, weight 3.5 tr.oz. * Condition: Small dent to foot underside, three shallow indents to body.
An Edwardian marquetry and mahogany two-tier occasional table, the two graduated circular tiers with husk marquetry borders and inlaid dentil edges, raised on strung faux fluted tapered columns with carved gadrooned urn mounts, raised on strung downswept tripod supports, 13in. (33cm.) diameter, 28½in. (72.5cm.) high.
A George V silver golfing trophy cup, James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1931, the body with repoussé band of lion, urn and foliate decoration and twin rampant lion handles, on a ball, blade and gadroon knopped stem and domed stepped foot, the cover with oak leaf and acorn decoration and finial depicting a satyr golfer, unengraved, 8 3/8in. (21.25cm.) high, weight 15.75 tr.oz., with ebonised stand. * Condition: Very good condition, with no faults. Clear hallmarks.

(5.1cm.) high, weight 4.15 tr.oz. (2) * Condition: Maker's mark partially rubbed to both. Some rubbing to other marks but still legible. Otherwise good condition.
A 19th century Dutch marquetry and mahogany D-shaped card table, the boxwood strung top with marquetry urn with flowering plants and perched birds, over a serpentine frieze with floral marquetry, raised on a turned column to an incuse quatreform base with reel carved feet, 33 x 16½in. (84 x 42cm.), 29½in. (75cm.) high.
A pair of French patinated bronze and ormolu candlesticks, second half of 19th century, the foliate urn sconces on patinated tapered and reeded columns with gilt acanthus capitals and urn mounts to gilt foliate circular bases, 11¾in. An early 20th century period French-style turquoise ceramic and gilded clock garniture, the clock having a turquoise ceramic and gilt urn decoration to the top above a turquoise ceramic panel, transfer and hand-painted with pastoral scenes, Roman numerals in a gilded ornate case and a pair of twin-handled baluster vases with gilt pineapple finial above transfer and painted vignettes of pastoral scenes, on an ornate gilded base (3). CONDITION REPORT Gilt bronze - heavy wear to gilding.Garniture - one with crack to body running through painted panel of men planting tree, glue over topother garniture with small chip under finial running into hairline crack down left hand side of painted panel of horse feeding.
